Catnap Stories® Guidance for Schools, Libraries & Bookstores

Guidance on using and sharing Catnap Stories® during the UK Lockdown

Heidi Bryant would like to to announce the following guidelines by Ipsum Agency Ltd to using our books in distance learning or virtual classroom scenarios.

During these unprecedented times that we find ourselves in caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic, we are temporarily allowing schools, libraries and brick-and-mortar bookshops in the United Kingdom to replicate live storytelling through virtual platforms.

Until 31st July 2020

This guidance is set out for UK based teachers and schools for the provision of distance learning or virtual lessons:

Story time or reading aloud sessions in which a Catnap Stories® Book by Ipsum Agency Ltd is read aloud and where our beautifully illustrated picture books are displayed on screen. These sessions may be created and posted on closed educational platforms, in order to reproduce a storytelling experience or lesson that would ordinarily be carried out face to face in the classroom.

Please follow the guidelines below:

  • Please contact us by email at

    heidi@ipsum-agency.com

to advise that you will be using one or more of our Catnap Stories® books.

Please provide the following details when contacting us:

    • Name and address of the school

    • Title, author and ISBN of the book that is read

    • Contact information for the individual responsible for the reading

    • The educational platform / YouTube Channel / Social Media platform on which the video is posted or held and a link to that video or live event

  • Please read the author’s name, illustrators details and the title of the book at the beginning of the video or session.

  • Please only share the session or video inside the school’s closed educational platform. Videos may also be uploaded to YouTube as long as they are marked as a ‘Private’ video (i.e. a video that can only be viewed by people to whom the creator of the video sends an email link).

  • The sessions or videos may only be shared and hosted until 31st July 2020, after which they must be removed from the school’s closed educational platform.
